Festive Fare

Posts have been a bit sporadic this year, I'm planning on doing a bit better next year as I hope to get out and about on the bike a bit more.

In the meantime, I hope you and yours all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Nick, Nick

An interesting pictorial wander through the history of the police use of motorcycles I recently found in the archives of Gloucestershire Constabulary, England.

Ugly Sister

Definite star of my trip to the Ace Café for Red October day was this crazy 70s style chopper based around a Polish 350cc Junak M10.

Not everyone had access to Harleys, and I’ve seen some really unsuitable British bikes done in a similar style over the years. I suppose if this was all you had to work with then that is what you use.

I really like it, it is so ugly and so unexpected that it has a strange beauty all of its own.

Red October

Last weekend a trip down to London coincided with Red October Day at the Ace Café on the Sunday.

As a trip to the Ace is never wasted, and as I’m a big fan of vehicles from the former eastern bloc, I decided to toddle along for some breakfast and to see what turned up.
