Day Tripper

I'm down in Warwickshire this weekend to catch a couple of Shakespeare plays at the RSC in Stratford on Avon.

Wondering what to do with ourselves yesterday morning we made the short trip to the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull.

The museum is well worth a visit and, with over 800 machines on display, Will take you some time to get around.

Needless to say, I took a shed load of photos and I'll post some of the better ones when I get back.

Today we're off to see some Morris dancing, I kid you not.

  1. And your point is?

What's wrong with Morris Dancing, don't you wear a skirt occasionally?

    1. It's a kilt, because that's what happens to folk who call it a skirt!

  2. My question, was going to be "What is Morris dancing?"...I see it involves wearing a skirt. Now, are there little cars involved...?

  3. Larry, all you have to know about Morris dancing is that Sir Thomas Beecham once said "in this life try everything once, except incest and morris dancing"!

  4. The Scots do the Highland Fling and other such dances, there's nae Morris Dancing involved.....now in England on the other hand, it's a sight not to be seen!

The NMM is a great place to go...was there about two years back with Kawa and loved every minute of it.

Stratfords not to far from Sunrising Hill, give it try next time in the area, both up and down, it's a good 'un to ride.

    2. Thoroughly enjoyed the NMM. Been meaning to go for years and it seemed too good an opportunity to pass up as I was only about 30 miles away. The ticket you buy can be used multiple times on the same day. I wish that I'd have had more time as I could have spent most of the day there.
