Museum Pieces

The motor museum at Château Savigny-les-Beaune is simply huge. The collection includes cars, motorcycles, bicycles, fire engines, aeroplanes, and thousands of beautifully detailed scale models.

As well as fully restored vehicles and planes, there are also shedloads of rusty relics awaiting restoration. There are so many exhibits, in fact, that by the end we were barely glancing at things. I reckon that you could spend a whole day just looking at the models alone.

It looks like one of those things where someone's mad hobby has gotten so out of control that the only option is to throw it open to the public.
